The wildflowers are beautiful and the animals are out and about. The park is full of baby animals right now and they are a joy to photograph! This is my favorite time of year in the parks because the photography possibilities are endless. On my tours we will hit all the popular scenic locations as well as explore some secret and off the beaten path locations in search of wildlife. I have explored both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks for years and as a former Yellowstone Park Ranger, I will share lots of information about the history, geology, flora, and fauna of the park. In addition to a naturalist guided interpretive tour of the park, I provide professional photography instruction. I have been a professional photographer for 15 years and have worked as a photo editor in the outdoor magazine industry for the past 5 years. 2015 Autumn-Grand Teton Photography Workshop

September 24-26, 2015 | 2 day in-field workshop | $900 | Jackson, WY

This is my favorite time of the year! The photographic possibilities are endless. The animals are very active during this time. The bears are stocking up on the last berries that still cling to the Serviceberry and Hawthorne bushes. The elk are in rut, and the bulls are gathering their harems for breeding--which means lots of bugling and sparring bulls. The Great Gray Owl is also very active at this time. The skies are a crisp blue, the underbrush crimson and the Aspen and Cottonwood trees are bright yellow. If you've never been to Grand Teton/Yellowstone at this time of year, you should come out this fall. It will be an incredible experience!
