Cody grew up in Eureka, Kansas. He received a B.S. from Kansas State University, and has lived in the Rocky Mountains for the past 11 years.

After college, while working for the National Park Service in Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks, Cody’s love for nature inspired his photography. His hobby became his career when he moved to Vail, Colorado in 1999.

Cody’s career has allowed him to photograph a wide variety of subjects ranging from ski resort marketing to weddings to fine art.

His winters are spent skiing and summers are spent hiking and mountain biking with his wife, Colleen.
